The silver sixpence set in the handle pays tribute to the tradition of always exchanging a silver coin for a knife to avoid cutting the bonds of friendship by always paying for the blade. The high carbon cutting edge is eminently easy to maintain to a razor sharp edge.The multiple layers of brass, bronze, nickel and iron are etched to highlight the beauty of the blade. The knife has a leather cover to protect the blade.
