Working towards our ethical policy of supplying kit that is sourced closer to home we are proud to offer the Bison Bushcraft Guide Shirt as a direct replacement for the Swanndri ranger shirts that are now unavailable from us.
We make these shirts to our own design here in Sussex from 100% British wool. They are designed to be equally at home when worn as part of your layering system when in the wilderness or as an everyday garment for around town or home.
These shirts have a specifically designed colour scheme reflecting the four seasons and fabric finish that blends in with nature without looking overtly camouflage or military when out of the woods.
We have chosen a “granddad“ style collar for comfort as standard and a proper sewn hem on the bottom of the shirt allowing it to be worn outside or comfortably tucked inside your trousers. The shoulder yoke is made in two layers of material for wear and weather resistance. Each shirt has one chest pocket with the bison Bushcraft logo on it.
We can also customise your shirt with extra pockets or a hood, have a look here
During our busy times there can be a wait for these shirts of up to two months as they are hand made to order.
FEEDBACK ON OUR SHIRTS
finally I had the chance to test the Guide shirt (I work overseas and I go back home not so often as I would...).
I can only tell great things about it.
Workmanship is excellent and the material exceeded all my expectations: it is almost water and wind proof and also warm.
I worn the shirt for 10 consecutive days: my wife tried to force me to dress something else without success!
The second Guide shirt I bought went to a friend who's waiting for the next winter (I'm sure he'll love it too)
Your shirt wins hands down compared to anything else I own.
I wish you all the best for your business!
Hello there Bison folks, Just a quick note to say my Guide Wool Shirt arrived safe and sound a while back. I am very impressed, and well pleased. We are having a stupid cold winter here in the Northern Adirondacks. So your shirt went right to work. I went a bit large to allow for layers and it is working out splendidly. I was out working today and the temperature never got above -4F. With an Under Armor base layer and a Wool Power mid layer, I had just the right balance or warmth, wind resistance, and breathability. Thanks for a quality garment made with quality wool. I will be ordering another soon. Perhaps in Spring colors. Walter,
