Paying homage to The WW11 gas mask bags designed in 1940 that were common as surplus for everyday use in post war Britain. Our MkV11 Prospector combines a retro look with the rugged better built construction you've come to expect from us with re-enforced seams, internal edge piping, a double layer base and top quality fittings.. We've re-designed the wartime bag to bring up to date including compartments for laptops or similar, two external slot pockets on the rear to suit smart phones, a general space in the middle to carry an extra layer or similar plus useful slots inside for small tools and pens. Our bag is made from the same durable olive green 12oz military cotton canvas we use on our tool rolls with heavy cast brass buckles and snap fasteners. There are drain holes as per the originals and a 50mm wide adjustable shoulder strap. For extra security we've included internal flaps going across the top of the bag to secure the contents.
Indecently, this style of bag is often called the Indie bag as it's commonly seen in use in the Indiana Jones films. Strange that a bag that was designed in 1940 is featured in films set in The 1930's!
