A while back, my wife made me a travel pillow from offcuts of all the different fabrics we use here at Bison Bushcraft. Stuffed with wool fabric offcuts cut up small it is the most comfortable pillow I have. All the Bison crew admired it and we have made a few more for them. We put them on show at The Wilderness Gathering and subsequently took orders for more. We are now in a position to produce more of them for general sale.
There are two versions, patchwork squares or random stripes. Both with a wool side and a smoother side that is generally cotton. In our quest for everything in natural fibre. We have hunted high and low and found a local supplier of carded wool fleece for the stuffing as cutting up scraps was both labour intensive and very heavy. We've found this to be even more comfortable as well as fulfilling our ethical values.
A perfect luxury and traditional addition to a good nights sleep outdoors or even at home.
We've called it The Swagman Pillow that harks back to the times when adventurers and rural workers carried a canvas and wool bedroll that they could lay out practically anywhere for a good nights sleep.
